This was a 4 week trip taken with our 8 year old son for his school holiday. We flew to Hanoi and then onto Beijing a few days later. From there we took the train across Northern China towards Lanzhou next to the Tibetan/China sector. From there we traveled South along this corridor into Southern China and onto where we could take the boat down the Mekong bordering along China, Burma and Laos. Eventually ending up just 50k from home - a short car ride.
